STOP scrolling… Did you know that your calf mus STOP scrolling…
Did you know that your calf muscles are some of those most important postural muscles? I know, right? Perhaps you weren’t expecting that!
When we don’t have the ankle flexibility to walk with our feet forward, we tend to stand and walk with our feet turned out. That causes our hip muscles to support us improperly, which can lead us to have bad posture in our back and upper body.
Yikes! That will create pain in our neck, back, shoulders, hips, feet….everywhere! They can also affect your sleep by making it difficult for blood to circulate and inducing cramps or a chronic lower leg fatigue feeling. To combat tight calves is surprisingly simple with the right exercises given to you in the right order.
So as you can see, stretching your calves is really important. If you’re ready to work with an expert so that you can get rid of this pesky issue, while looking at it through an anatomical and Ayurveda lens, book a private Ayurveda Yoga consultation with me.

Taking that to heart, along with your requests for a more accessible schedule.

Nobody is talking about how intriguing or fun it c Nobody is talking about how intriguing or fun it can be to learn the anatomy portion
of yoga training… and I hope to change that!
I happen to find anatomy fascinating and I hope to spark your interest
and dedication to continuously study this crucial topic. 🤓
I collaborated with a brilliant artist @wyliebee to create an artistic anatomy module,
filmed by the talented @agusmanchini
In this module, I’ve chosen some of the most important muscles to know as a Yoga teacher and practitioner. There’s great theory, photos, drawings and videos. I take you through common asana (postures) with the muscles body painted on my models to show you the muscles in real life action 😍
This module makes up the online portion of the anatomy module of our hybrid Yoga TTC.
It will also be available as an 11 hour continuing education anatomy course for yoga teachers and practitioners.
Do you like learning anatomy?

How to ACTUALLY get over those aches and pains tha How to ACTUALLY get over those aches and pains that you just can’t.
Have you tried everything but the pain and or self sabotaging patterns rage on?
I feel you. Believe me. I’m a yoga teacher that has suffered anxiety and issues breathing. Seems ironic, I know. Yoga and meditation and also my Ayurveda has helped me A LOT.
There’s nothing quite like going right into the subconscious mind though…
to pulverise through old patterns to create new neural pathways to the best version of YOU.
Interested in how exactly you can do this?!

Scalp issues? I can help!!! You know I love self Scalp issues? I can help!!!
You know I love self massage and scalp massage was actually how I first fell in love with massage 😍
All those years ago, as a hairstylists apprentice (one who always taught me about scalp health!) I did LOTS of hair washes and scalp treatments with the best scalp massages I could provide.
My head massages have gotten even better 18 years later now that I’ve studied anatomy in depth and have the wisdom of Ayurveda & marma points to integrate.
And in this I’ve realized, that many people don’t know how to do even a simple scalp massage 😯 even my massage therapist friends and colleagues and hairstylists have asked…but Jess- how exactly?!?
SO here’s a super simple, quick demo so you can start doing your self scalp massage TODAY! 🥳
Need a quality oil to do so? Now is a great time to try Rejuvenique which is on sale *buy 1 get 1* for 11 more hours!!! 🚨
I’m falling in love more and more with this proprietary blend of 13+ natural plant and essential oils for hair and skin. This multipurpose oil helps balance scalp pH, strengths hair, reduces frizz, hydrates skin and actually penetrates the hair follicle!! Meaning you don’t need to soak the hair with the oil a little goes a long way and the hair healing is real! 🤯
DM me for a hair consult and to get your oil for this steal of a deal!😘
These are some examples of clearing statements we These are some examples of clearing statements we use in using forgiveness therapy during Subconscious Imprinting Technique sessions, available in person or online. We first reprogram the subconscious and then we restore it with how you’ve decided to reframe the patterns we're working on at the moment. You are always in control and I’m using your language and checking in with you and your body every step of the way.

Bhastrika means bellows breath. Here air is forcib Bhastrika means bellows breath. Here air is forcibly drawn in-and-out as if using a pair of bellows and both the in and out breaths are vigorous, forceful and audible. In all other types of pranayama; inhalation sets the pace, pattern and rhythm for exhalation, but in bhastrika exhalation is the setting.
This technique activates and invigorates the liver, spleen, pancreas and abdominal muscles, while improving digestion and creating a feeling of exhilaration. It also helps drain the sinuses and stop a runny nose.
How to perform:
Sit in a comfortable position like Sukhasana, seated on the floor or on a chair.
Exhale all the air from the lungs completely. Take a short, strong breath and expel it with a quick strong blast. Repeat this and you will find the second inhale comes quicker and more forceful than the first, due to the preceding exhale. One quick in-and-out breath taken together completes one round. Do 4-8 rounds at a time to complete 1 cycle, ending with an exhale.
Then take a few slow and deep ujjayi breaths, or the more advanced practitioner may want to retain their breath for 5-8 seconds and then exhale slowly and deeply as in ujjayi. This rests the lungs and prepares them for fresh blasts of bhastrika. Repeat cycles of bhastrika blasts interspersed with ujjayi, with or without retention 3-4 times.
Notes:
* Check if you’re moving your body too much! Only moving parts should be your abdomen and chest.
* Check after the first round if the spine is aligned or not! Usually in the fast breathing people lose alignment.
* In the beginning, a little pain can be experienced in the collarbones and chest region.
