I find these are almost always the most forgotten about parts of the body when I observe students in yoga. 
A good “now engage your feet” cue is almost always appropriate 😘
Give it a try, bring your energy and even your breath, all the way to your fingertips and toes. 
You’ll see it’s like the tail feathers of a bird…these small changes can change the entire course of your path through posture. 🦅

There’s more and more research coming out proving the benefits such as better sleep, better physical health, better mental health, greater willpower, improved self care, self esteem and relationships. 
How?? In short, gratitude can boost the neurotransmitter serotonin and activate the brain stem to produce dopamine. 
Dopamine is our brain's pleasure chemical. The more we think positive, grateful thoughts, the healthier and happier we feel.🥰
What are you grateful for? 
A great practice is to write out a few things you’re grateful for daily, in the morning or before bed can be most effective 🤓
Writing out and celebrating the positive impact you’ve had on the world each day is also something I highly recommend!

An Ayurveda Bowl🥰 I got asked today; what makes An Ayurveda Bowl🥰 I got asked today; what makes a meal an Ayurveda meal? 
The science of Ayurveda nutrition is quite vast, but in short…
I answered that truly it can be any meal that’s made with love and attention. 😍
It’s fresh, yummy and easy to digest. You don’t feel cravings or digestive complaints after. 👌
An Ayurveda meal avoids incompatible food combinations, such as fruit with other foods (of course there’s some exceptions)
It’ll have all six tastes present; sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent and astringent.
It’s necessary to have a nice array of colours, qualities and textures with seasonal produce. 🌈
Ideally the meal is suited for the individuals constitution for whom you’re cooking or at least its one that’s balancing for all and season. 
Consider having 60% augmenting (rice, protein, root veggies, coconut, dates etc) and 40% extractive (pungent, bitter & astringent veggies etc) in each meal. 💯
Give thanks, take a few deep breaths and enjoy!!! 🥰

In the northern hemisphere, the winter solstice is an annual celebration of the longest and darkest night of the year that dates back as early as the 5th century. 
This turning point is special, as each day after the winter solstice brings more sunlight. A reason this celebration is also dubbed “the return of the sun”☀️
It’s a beautiful time to turn your attention inwards to connect to gratitude & contentment.
Here’s some lovely ways to spend this dark night.
💫Clean & declutter your home 
💫Light a candle & unplug from technology…embrace the darkness Close your eyes & breath.
💫Grab a pen & journal, take some time to free write your intentions for the next 6 months - perhaps until the summer solstice?🌈
